Basilea Ministries is a part of the Korean Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth. KPCE was founded in 1975 and is a member of the Presbyterian Church USA denomination. The Senior Pastor of the church is Rev. Dr. Joonsik Kim. He is very supportive of our ministry and has even been a guest speaker for our Winter Retreat.
Our church has several worship services going on every Sunday. The Korean Ministry is made up of about 300 members spread across three worship services. The Sunday School has separate worship services for Pre-K, Elementary, and Youth ministries with seminary trained pastors leading each worship service. KPCE has several full-time and part-time staff serving various ministries within the church.
KPCE recently began a branch ministry in Pluckemin, NJ to meet the needs of the growing Korean population in the area. The Pluckemin location also has a Korean service, as well as services for Pre-K, Elementary, and Youth students.
Members of Basilea are actively involved in serving the church as a whole. Many serve as Sunday School teachers and several members of Basilea have been ordained by the church as deacons. The church is appreciative of our service and provides us with many resources to help us with our ministry.
