This tutorial will walk you through creating content on the Basilea website. For clarification, content can be considered any joy, concern, announcement, blog entry, etc.
NOTE: You must be a registered user of the Basilea website. This means that you have a user name and password. If you do not, please check out the "How do I become a registered user - Tutorial" or send an e-mail to me and I will be more than happy to help.
NOTE: You can click on any image in this tutorial to get a bigger picture.
1. The first step is to login to your Basilea website account.
2. If you scroll down on the right side, you will see something similar to the image to the right. Click on the "Create Content" button and you will see something similar to the image below.
3. Clicking on the "Create Content" button, should show you something similar to the image to the left. Here you have a choice to either create a joy or a concern. Those who are on council will see a few other options, don't be alarmed. So, we will choose to create a joy. Click on the "Joy" link and you will see something similar to the image below.
4. Clicking on the "Joy" link, should show you something similar to the image to the right. Now all you need to do is fill in the title and body fields. The title is simply a title for your post. The body field is where the words you want to say go.
5. Here is a sample image with the title and body fields filled in. Once you fill in these fields, you can choose to preview or save. If you click the save button, that will submit the post for viewing by others on the Basilea website. Preview will allow you to see what the post will look like before actually making the post available to everyone. Remember that if you preview your post, you still need to click the save button to make the post available to others. Once you hit the save button, you will see something similar to the image below.
6. Clicking the save button, should show you something similar to the image to the right. The grey box will either let you know that the post was created successfully or will let you know of any errors that may have occurred. You will also see your post displayed below the message box. At this point, you have completed creating your content. However, if you want to verify that your content really was created and is available for others to see, you can click on the "Joys" link under the "Basilea News" menu item.
7. In this image you can see that our newly created joy is listed among the other joys of the website. (You will no longer be able to find this post because it has been removed.)
